Meet Our Team

Jeffrey Wagner, P.T., C.H.T.

Jeff graduated from Chapman University in 1990 and returned to Chico to begin his work at North Valley Rehabilitation Center. In 1993 he joined David Valponi and has been practicing orthopedic physical therapy since this time. Jeff is also a Certified Hand Specialist treating a wide variety of upper extremity disorders such as fractures, joint replacements, tendon lacerations, and amputations.

Makiah Podbielski, P.T.A.

Makiah graduated with her Bachelors in Exercise Physiology from Chico State, Go Wildcats! Upon graduating makiah gained expirence in exercise prescription and modification with becoming NASM certified Personal Trainer with focus on geratic population. Makiah returned to school at Carrington College in which she completed and became a licensed physical therapist assistant. She started her career at a VA Hospital in the bay area, in which she gained experience in post-stroke, post-amputation, prosthesis training, in addition to post-operative care, chronic pain and many other diagnosis. Makiah returned to Chico and returned to Valponi and Wagner Physical Therapy, where she gain much of her clinical experience while working towards her bachelors. Makiah has been part of the team since 2018. Makiah enjoys getting outside growing up in Alaska fishing and exploring the great outdoors, shopping, and trying new foods.
